What an amazing start to 2024 for us here at Monarch Event Planning! Check out what we've been up to the last few months.
3rd Carolina Premiere Bridal Showcase & Market
Our 3rd Carolina Premiere at DuGaren Venues & Vineyards in Denver, NC happened in January. With nearly 25 remarkable vendors, we were able to connect with over 70 brides about their upcoming weddings.
Â
What I personally loved most (and call me biased, that's totally okay) was the stunning dried floral installation that Whitney created for our booth display. With over 150 individual stems, this arrangement hung above the table and even lit up. Our table scape featured an out-of-the-box color scheme, including black and Pantone's color of the year, peach fuzz. Our favor boxes included Monarch butterfly hair clips, of course, that we handed out to the brides we chatted with.
Â
Whitney continues to amaze me with her ability to push creative boundaries and execute stunning aesthetics that I believe helps Monarch stand out. I am loving how much we are learning from each other and the synergy that we generate when we work together.
Princess & The Frog themed Sweet Sixteen
Just a few weeks ago, we helped celebrate a very special 16 year old with a Princess & the Frog themed soirée at DuGaren Venues & Vineyards. We had been planning and designing this event with Sherri since June of last year.
Â
I can not express how grateful and how proud I am of the team that came together and brought to life a fairy tale. The hours of work, countless meetings and extensive brainstorms were worth every bit.
Â
I loved getting to be creative to manifest this vision. We had New Orleans styled food, lily pads floating in the birthday girl's signature punch, and a first dance on the clouds with her grandfathers to "Ma Belle Evangeline" from the movie soundtrack.
I pulled out all the tricks for the décor and design of this event.
Â
I painted a wooden Tiana cutout in a soft green and applied gold leaf. The marquee number backdrop was assembled by yours truly in my kitchen (if you can imagine me with a power drill while dinner was in the oven, you've totally got the picture.) I also used my cricut for the Welcome mirror and all of the food menu tents.
I graphic designed all the menus as well as the invitation. We've also added these gorgeous candelabras, crystal stand centerpieces, and chargers to our inventory.
The vendors who worked this event truly elevated the experience to the next level.
Â
DJ Jeff and Chris with Soulful Sounds went above and beyond to make this evening one that the guests will never forget. Besides the music being mixed incredibly, we had dancing on the clouds, cold sparks. LED uplighting, a fog machine bazooka, and these next level LED pedestals that made the entrance look completely VIP. As parents were dropping off their kids, they were asking me if they could stay and party because it looked so awesome.
Â
Olisa with CLT Photobooth Magik brought the Selfie booth and a 360 that the guests were interacting with all night long.
Â
Morgan with Lo Greene Catering had an impressive food buffet presentation, and the shrimp & grits were a hit.
Â
Kirsten with Cut at an Angle crafted the beautiful floral arrangements that were so perfect, guests couldn't believe they were real flowers.
We also loved working with Pixie Dust Parties, Cooke Rentals, DJW Photoworks, Marianne Tayloe Cake Design, Kilwins, Alpha Lit Hickory, and Celebration Day Rentals, who all played a part in making this night a dream.
See a highlight of the evening on our IG page!
As we head into the next few months, we've got a lot of exciting events on our calendar, including a Tea Party Bridal Shower, a Great Gatsby School Prom, a Wild, Wild West party and a Cottagecore styled shoot. I can't wait to share with you how these events turn out!
Shine on,
Laurie
