When winter sets the scene, there’s something undeniably magical about leaning all the way in—and Maddy’s “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” Winter Wonderland baby shower did just that. Maddy's mom reached out to us back in October to begin planning something remarkable for her daughter who lived out of state. Hosted in honor of Maddy and her expected baby boy, this celebration blended cozy charm with elevated details, creating a day that felt both joyful and unforgettable.
From the moment guests arrived, they were greeted with a surprise snowfall courtesy of our snow machine. Watching family and friends walk through softly falling “snow” instantly set the tone—pure winter magic and a total wow moment that had everyone smiling before they even stepped inside.
A Dreamy Winter Wonderland Baby Shower Backdrop
The design centerpiece was a stunning balloon installation by Pixie Dust Parties, perfectly styled in soft winter hues and textures. Punchy Events & Co. elevated the space even further with fresh florals woven throughout, adding a delicate and organic beauty to the winter palette. Together, the backdrop created the perfect spot for photos, conversation, and soaking in the celebration.
Sweet Treats & Savory Bites
No shower is complete without incredible food, and this one delivered in every way:
Custom cookies by Pink Ribbon Sweetery added a personal (and delicious) touch
Gourmet cupcakes by PetalCakes were almost too pretty to eat
An impressive charcuterie board by Bella Vita Bites gave guests a savory option that was both stunning and crowd-pleasing
Each element was thoughtfully curated to feel indulgent yet inviting—perfect for a winter gathering.
Sweet Sips & Candy-Coated Comfort
To keep guests cozy and indulged, we created an elevated hot cocoa bar that quickly became a favorite gathering spot. Complete with fluffy marshmallows, gourmet syrups, peppermint bark, white and milk chocolate chips, peppermint spoons, edible glitter, chocolate crispy wafers, and—of course—plenty of whipped cream, it was the ultimate winter treat. Guests loved customizing their cups, adding a little sparkle and a lot of sweetness to the celebration.
Alongside the cocoa bar was a playful candy station, filled with some of the mom-to-be’s personal favorites. From classic gummy bears and gummy worms to custom blue M&M’s and Hershey’s chocolates wrapped in book-cover–inspired labels, this display added a fun, nostalgic touch that felt uniquely Maddy. It was the perfect blend of cozy, whimsical, and personal—exactly what a baby shower should be.
Thoughtful Details That Made It Personal
One of our favorite touches was a vintage baby bassinet, repurposed as the gift display. It added a nostalgic, heartwarming element and doubled as décor—function meets sentiment, always a win.
A kid's table was loaded with coloring sheets and snowflake crafts to engage their imagination and help bring the theme even more to life.
Guests were also invited to write heartfelt messages for baby boy at the “Notes for Baby” box, creating a keepsake Maddy can cherish for years to come. These quiet, meaningful moments are often what make a shower truly special and can help the mom-to-be still feel supported and celebrated at any point of her journey.
Cozy Favors to Warm the Heart

Guests left with more than sweet memories—they were sent home with a collection of thoughtfully curated winter favors, each one tying perfectly into the “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” theme. From custom snowflake soaps and softly scented candles to delicate bookmarks (perfect for cozy nights in), every detail felt intentional and personal.
To lean into the season, guests were also gifted hot cocoa kits, encouraging them to slow down and savor a warm moment at home. And as a meaningful nod to new beginnings, seedlings to plant were included—symbolizing growth, love, and the exciting journey ahead for Maddy and her baby boy.
These favors were the perfect blend of cozy and sentimental, giving guests a little piece of the day to take with them long after the pretend snow had melted. ❄️✨
Games, Laughter & Lasting Memories
The afternoon was filled with classic baby shower games, laughter, and plenty of love as friends and family gathered to celebrate this exciting new chapter. Every moment was beautifully captured by R Turner Photos, preserving the joy, surprise snowfall, and sweet details that made this shower so memorable.
This Winter Wonderland baby shower was a perfect reminder that even the coldest season can feel incredibly warm when it’s filled with love, thoughtful design, and a little bit of magic. Maddy’s baby boy is already so celebrated—and we were honored to help bring this cozy winter vision to life.
